M2 Bradley

This infantry fighting vehicle was first produced by the United States Military in 1981. The Bradley is designed for reconnaissance and to transport a squad of infantry, providing them protection from small arms fire, while also providing firepower to both suppress and eliminate most threats to friendly infantry. It is designed to be highly maneuverable and to be fast enough to keep up with heavy armor during an advance. The M2 holds a crew of 3: a commander, a gunner and a driver, and can carry 6 fighting men onto the battlefield. It's armament consists of a 25 mm chain gun, two anti-tank missile launchers, and a 7.62 mm machine gun.

The M2 first saw service in Operation Desert Storm, where it destroyed more Iraqi vehicles than the M1 Abrams tank. Over the course of the conflict, the Americans lost twenty Bradleys: 3 to Iraqi fire, 17 to friendly fire. In response to the incidents, further M2s were outfitted with infrared identification panels. 

To this day, the United States and Saudi Arabia are the only countries that use this vehicle.
